Job Description
Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Manager - US Real Estate Operations to lead and scale a mix of underwriting, lender review, and real estate operations. This role requires strong expertise in US mortgage underwriting, condominium project reviews, and operational process management.You will be responsible for driving quality, compliance, and efficiency, while leading teams and building scalable processes that support business growth.Key Responsibilities1. Underwriting & Lender ReviewLead end-to-end underwriting including Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Credit for US mortgage and condominium projects.
Reviewing and approving New and Established project across for all GSEs including Fannie, Freddie, FHA and VA loan programs while ensuring accurate decisioning and clear justification for ineligible or declined casesOversee detailed analysis of complex documentation such as financials, insurance, CC&Rs, litigation, reserve studies, and legal records, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards
- Compliance, Risk & Quality ManagementEnsure adherence to agency and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, Jumbo) while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and audit readinessEstablish and drive quality control frameworks, monitor underwriting pipelines (SLA, productivity, turnaround time), and stay updated with regulatory changes and industry best practices
- Operations & Process ExcellenceDesign, implement, and optimize operational workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and turnaround time, leveraging data to track performance and drive improvementsIdentify process gaps, implement scalable solutions, and align operational strategies with overall business goals
- US Real Estate & HOA OperationsOversee processes related to property taxes, liens, permits, code violations, utilities, and HOA data operations, including collection, validation, and database managementGuide teams in navigating US government portals and administrative systems, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and structured quality checks
- Team Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementLead, mentor, and develop teams to drive performance, accountability, and career growth, while managing staffing plans, workflow allocation, and scheduling adherenceCollaborate with clients and cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Engineering) to resolve escalations, ensure alignment on project outcomes, and support scalable program growth
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Real Estate, or related field8-10+ years of experience in US Mortgage Underwriting, Lender Review, or Real Estate OperationsStrong expertise in condominium project reviews and investor guidelinesProven experience in team leadership, operations management, and process improvementSolid understanding of US real estate processes (taxes, liens, permits, utilities)Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in data analysis tools and workflow systemsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree or certifications in Management, Operations, or QualityExperience with workflow automation tools and operational dashboards
