Java Solutions Delivery Manager, Insurance Sector

Position: Technical Project Manager – Java Location: Chennai (Work from Office) Experience: 10–16 years Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Anoud Technologies is looking for a seasoned Technical Project Manager with strong Java-based development expertise and mandatory experience in the Insurance domain to lead cross-functional engineering teams. The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding with proven project leadership skills, ensuring complex insurance-related projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of Java-based software projects within the Insurance domain (Life, P&C, Health, or General Insurance).

Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with architects and development teams. Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks using Agile/Scrum or hybrid methodologies. Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, clients, and the engineering team.

Conduct sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. Review technical designs and code quality at a high level to ensure alignment with project goals. Identify and mitigate technical, compliance, and project risks proactively.

Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments. Track project KPIs and prepare status reports for leadership and clients. Mentor junior project coordinators and support team capability building.

Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10–16 years of overall experience in software development, with at least 4–6 years in a Technical Project Management role. Mandatory: Hands-on experience working in the Insurance domain (policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, or related systems). Strong hands-on background in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and related frameworks.

Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum projects; PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM certification preferred. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience with project tracking tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make technical trade-off decisions. Preferred Qualifications Experience in client-facing/consulting environments within insurance/insuretech.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Exposure to enterprise-level Java application architecture and insurance system integrations. What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.
