Summary Human Resources Generalist At the Company, we grow People, Brands, and Businesses! The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties such as staying up to date with employment law changes, conducting market research on HR best practices, responding to employee questions and concerns, helping set up employee programs and offering day‑to‑day administrative support to the HR team. Stay current with legal requirements and government reporting regulations to ensure policies and procedures are compliant. Provide guidance and support to associates with interpretation of HR policies, procedures and benefits. Partner with business unit leadership to recruit, interview, select and promote associates.
Analyze and provide resolution to supervisors and managers on employee relations issues such as complaints, favoritism, attendance, conflicts and communication issues. Conduct investigations into complaints and performance concerns, provide reports and recommendations for resolution. Collaborate with teams to deliver corrective actions or separations to employees as appropriate.
Advise management on policies, programs and procedures; ensure they are carried out in accordance with company policies. Field general phone calls and questions from associates. Support special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Fluent in French and English (verbal and written) considered an asset. Minimum five (5) years of human resources experience with progressively increasing responsibility in employee relations, recruitment or a generalist role. Post‑secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
CHRP or CHRL designation is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Additional Requirements Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3‑5 years of general HR experience; experience in employee relations and investigations preferred. SPHR or PHR a plus.
Strong prioritization, flexibility, adaptability, team building and computer skills. Benefits & Working Conditions Travel is not an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is an essential duty or function.
Office / Sedentary requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment; may require sitting >66% of the time, hearing telephone, entering data, possibly lifting up to 10 pounds.
