Job Description
We’re looking for an innovative Director, Human Resources to join our Human Resources team within our Winnipeg Office. As a Director, Human Resources you will provide strategic and operational HR leadership across Canadian manufacturing and corporate operations, supporting approximately 1,000 employees. You will lead a team of HR Managers and HR Generalists, ensuring consistent, effective, and compliant delivery of HR programs, policies, and services while aligning HR initiatives with organizational objectives.
This role is accountable for maintaining compliance with Canadian employment legislation and fostering a positive employee experience that supports engagement, performance, and retention. Leverage data for workforce insights HR Operations & Employee Relations Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including workforce planning, policy administration, and employee relations, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant practices across both manufacturing and corporate environments. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR Managers and HR Generalists, fostering a high-performance culture that drives employee engagement, collaboration, and operational excellence. Collaborate with the HR Leaders to align talent acquisition, development and retention strategies with business-growth priorities, ensuring leadership pipelines and critical capabilities are built for the future.
Ensure compliance with Canadian employment legislation, mitigate HR-related risks, and champion initiatives that foster an inclusive, positive, and high-performing workplace culture. This role is expected to operate as a strategic business leader, influencing executive decision-making while driving operational HR excellence across the organization. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CHRL/CPHR designation preferred. Minimum 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including managing multi-site operations and teams in both manufacturing and corporate environments. Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation, labor relations, and compliance requirements.
