This is a builder's role.We are looking for a VP of Technology who still gets a rush from reading an elegant pull request, who reaches for the keyboard when a technical problem needs solving, and who believes the best engineering leaders lead by doing - not just by directing.
As VP of Technology for Core Solutions India, you will own technical leadership of our Chennai Development Center. You will work directly with the US engineering leadership team and CEO, drive our AI-first engineering strategy, and ensure the India team executes with excellence on a complex, modern platform serving hundreds of thousands of patients in behavioral health.This role carries genuine authority and genuine accountability. You will shape how we build, what we build on, and how fast we get there.
What You Will DoTechnical Leadership & Hands-On ExecutionActively review, write, and critique code across the Cx360 platform - .NET Core 8, React, SQL Server, PostgreSQL/Aurora, and AWS-native servicesSet and enforce engineering standards: code quality, architecture patterns, PR discipline, test coverage, and CI/CD hygieneDrive the ongoing product and database migrations, ensuring correctness, performance, and zero patient-data riskGet your hands dirty on the hardest technical problems - the team looks to you when things break or when the path forward isn't clearParticipate in architecture reviews for new modules including clinical UI, database schema design and platform infrastructureAI-First Engineering StrategyLead the India team in operationalizing Core Solutions' AI-first strategy, including the Cx360 Intelligence Suite built on AWS platform.Champion the use of AI coding tools (AI First Coding, AI-assisted code review) across the India team to accelerate delivery velocityIdentify opportunities to embed AI capabilities in internal engineering workflows - test generation, documentation, migration scripts, and code analysisStay current on AI/ML developments relevant to healthcare tech and bring forward-looking technical proposals to the executive teamEngineering Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers in Chennai, developing career paths and building a culture of ownership and technical pridePartner with other organization leaders on organizational effectiveness, hiring, and team structureEstablish and improve engineering processes: sprint planning, code review culture, incident management, and on-call disciplineBridge the US and India teams - ensure alignment on priorities, clear async communication, and shared technical contextRecruit exceptional engineering talent; define the hiring bar and personally engage top candidates
What We Are Looking ForMust-Have12+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a senior technical leadership roleDemonstrably hands-on: you write code regularly, not just in emergencies - you do it because you love itDeep fluency in .NET / C# and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent)Proven experience leading complex platform migrations in production healthcare or enterprise SaaS environmentsStrong AWS expertise - RDS, Aurora, EKS/ECS, Lambda, Bedrock, or equivalent cloud-native servicesPassionate about AI/ML and actively building with large language models (LLMs), AI agents, or AI-assisted developer toolingExceptional technical communication: you can write a design doc, an architecture decision record, and a concise Slack message with equal clarityExperience leading distributed engineering teams across geographies
Strong DifferentiatorsBackground in healthcare technology, EHR platforms, or regulated software environments (HIPAA, HL7/FHIR)Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock, Claude, OpenAI, or similar LLM platforms in productionExperience with AI-assisted development environmentsPrior experience building or scaling an India Development Center
Who You AreYou are the engineer who still pulls up the diff before signing off. You have strong opinions on naming conventions and will say so in a code review. You read release notes for databases and runtimes because you find them interesting. You think the best management is being someone your team wants to learn from - technically, and as a person.
