Job Description
Job Title: Head / Manager – Quality Assurance & Food Safety Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Food Safety professional to lead and strengthen quality systems across manufacturing operations and the supply chain. The role will be responsible for driving quality excellence, food safety compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, audit readiness, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards across multiple manufacturing locations. Key Responsibilities: Drive a strong Quality and Food Safety culture across the entire value chain.
Establish and achieve annual Quality goals, KPIs, and business objectives. Lead implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS). Ensure compliance with quality standards for raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products across manufacturing facilities.
Review, maintain, and ensure adherence to quality documentation, SOPs, and process standards. Drive implementation and effectiveness of Food Safety programs including HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP. Monitor quality performance through dashboards, analytics, and trend reviews with plant leadership teams.
Ensure timely and accurate quality-related transactions and documentation within SAP. Manage incoming material quality controls and coordinate with procurement and operations teams. Oversee external laboratory testing programs and review analytical results for compliance.
Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure closure of audit observations through effective CAPA implementation. Analyze market quality performance and consumer feedback to identify improvement opportunities. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
Manage consumer complaint resolution processes and drive systemic improvements. Improve process capability and product consistency across manufacturing locations. Develop and deliver quality and food safety training programs for plant and corporate teams.
Participate in talent acquisition, capability assessment, and development of quality professionals. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Significant experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Food Safety within FMCG, Food & Beverage, Dairy, or Consumer Goods manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, GMP, GHP, and Quality Management Systems. Experience in audit management, CAPA, root cause analysis, and regulatory compliance. Exposure to SAP and quality documentation systems.
Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple manufacturing locations.
