Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tendering Manager - Highways and Road Construction, based in New Delhi having 12 years + experience in same domain. The Tendering Manager will lead the end-to-end tendering process for highway and road construction projects, including identifying opportunities, analyzing tender documents, and preparing technically and commercially compliant bids. Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, finance, legal, and project teams to gather inputs, develop bid strategies, and ensure accurate costing and timelines.
The role involves preparing tender documentation, BOQs, and supporting materials; managing clarifications, pre-bid meetings, and correspondence with clients and authorities; and tracking tender status through submission, evaluation, and award. The Tendering Manager will also maintain a database of tenders, monitor market and competitor activity, support contract negotiations, and provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management.QualificationsStrong expertise in tender management and tender preparation for highways and road construction projects, including reviewing RFPs, preparing BOQs, and ensuring technical and commercial compliance.Background in sales and business development for infrastructure projects, with the ability to build client relationships, support pricing strategies, and contribute to winning new contracts.Proficiency in project management, including planning, cross-functional coordination, risk assessment, and tracking milestones throughout the tender lifecycle.Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with substantial experience in highways and road construction tendering.Strong analytical, numerical, and contract interpretation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines.Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear technical and commercial documentation and present bid strategies to stakeholders.Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with construction costing tools or ERP systems; knowledge of relevant Indian standards and government tender portals is an advantage.
