Position Overview The Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator is a member of the Human Resources team and leads recruitment and hiring efforts across the organization. This role focuses primarily on attracting, assessing, and onboarding top talent aligned with WAV and MBSI WAV’s workforce needs and culture.
The position partners closely with hiring managers to understand staffing priorities, develop sourcing strategies, manage full‑cycle recruiting, maintain talent pipelines, and deliver a positive candidate experience. In addition to talent acquisition responsibilities, the role provides HR administrative and coordination support related to hiring, onboarding, records management, and general HR processes, while serving as occasional backup for payroll and benefits administration. Success requires sound judgment, confidentiality, attention to detail, professionalism, and strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills.
Essential Job Functions General HR Support Support executive management with special HR projects and initiatives as needed. Maintain recruiting records, employee files, HRIS data, and other confidential documentation in accordance with company policies and practices. Provide HR administrative support related to hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and WAV and MBSI WAV policies. Perform other duties as assigned in support of company objectives. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Develop, communicate, and implement WAV and MBSI WAV’s recruitment strategy, including sourcing channels, job posting practices, talent pipeline development, and candidate outreach.
Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, selection criteria, and candidate profiles for open roles. Manage full‑cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, selection support, offer preparation, and pre‑employment steps. Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs through direct sourcing, referrals, networking, job fairs, and other recruiting channels.
Use the applicant tracking system and related tools to maintain accurate candidate records, recruiting activity, and workflow status. Deliver a positive candidate experience through timely communication, clear expectations, and professional follow‑through throughout the hiring process. Collaborate with managers to support onboarding and early‑stage integration planning for new hires, including 30‑60‑90 day transition support when applicable.
Track and report recruiting metrics such as time‑to‑fill, source effectiveness, candidate pipeline activity, and other hiring outcomes to support continuous improvement. Support employer branding and recruitment marketing efforts that strengthen WAV and MBSI WAV’s visibility and appeal in the labor market. Advise candidates on position expectations, compensation range guidance, benefits, and company culture as appropriate during the hiring process.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or human resources with significant recruiting responsibility. Demonstrated experience managing full‑cycle recruiting across multiple roles or departments.
Knowledge of sourcing techniques, candidate screening methods, and structured interview practices. Experience using applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of employment laws and recruiting‑related compliance requirements; knowledge of U.S. and Canadian labor laws is preferred but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a confidential environment. Experience supporting employer branding, talent pipeline development, or recruitment marketing initiatives is preferred.
Bilingual Spanish and English skills are preferred but not required. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment The work environment is indoors and climate controlled.
Noise levels in the office are typically quiet to moderate. Physical Demands This position frequently requires standing, sitting, and walking. The employee frequently uses arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, or reach, and must be able to talk and listen by phone.
Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision for extended monitor use and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Travel Limited travel required.
