Syndicate Oversight Manager - Credit & Political Risk

Edenbrook are working with a Leading Insurance Turnkey seeking a Syndicate Manager to oversee the Strategic Performance of new syndicates entering the Lloyd's Market. This role is supporting the Active Underwriters of 4 newly created syndicates with the creation of appetite and business planning. The key aspects of this role is: Support the analysis and monitoring of underwriting portfolio performance across multiple classes of business helping the Active Underwriters creating apetite Advise Underwritng teams on appropriate methods of writing risk.

Analyse key performance indicators including premium growth, loss ratios, combined ratios, rate change, exposure metrics, and profitability trends Assist in identifying portfolio performance issues, emerging risks, and opportunities for portfolio optimisatisation Support underwriting teams through the provision of data-driven insight and performance analysis Contribute to portfolio reviews, business planning exercises, and capacity allocation discussions Assist in monitoring delegated authority and MGA performance planning Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, finance, claims, exposure management, and operations teams to ensure consistency of portfolio reporting and performance assessment The key requirements of this role is: A traditional underwriting background of 5+ years, preferably withing Political Risk & Credit. Experience with the creation of risk apetite and broker relationships. Experience in managing senior stakeholders and underwriters.
