Summary The Senior Manager - GFF Business Development (Steel Logistics Operations) will be responsible for managing operations related to the new Hyundai Steel Louisiana Plant business, Equipment & Steel Product Shipments. This role will take initiative to develop new business models and routes to meet customer expectations and ensure on-time delivery of all shipments.
Responsibilities
Manage and Coordinate Sales & Operations of Hyundai Steel Louisiana Plant
- Develop and execute transportation plans for construction materials and heavy equipment
- Align transport schedules with project timelines and proactively manage risks
- Ensure on-time delivery of all trucks and shipments to customers
- Maintain operations focus on customer satisfaction by providing problem-solving resources
- Resolve operational issues
- Supervise and assist team members
- Interface and collaborate with other departments to maximize customer satisfaction
- Plan, oversee, and coordinate day-to-day activities to improve effectiveness, productivity, and performance
- Provide customer service and client management to increase service satisfaction
- Set up, develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures
- Set up accounts and systems for Hyundai Steel and new customers
- Establish working relationships and negotiate with transportation and service providers
- Analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Help develop standard operating procedures (SOP) for the team
- Track and input delivered data into systems
- Supervise and process AR/AP invoices for Freight Forwarding
- Other duties as assigned
Manage related operations in a cost-effective manner
- Track costs, service levels (delivery time, damages, etc.), KPI, contracts, cost saving, and overall improvement
- Manage and monitor demurrage, detention, and/or any accessorial charges
- Resolve accounting issues and assist team members
- Maintain controls over accounting transactions
- Backup, support, and maintain responsibilities of logistics analysts and team members
- Make recommendations to improve team operations
- Provide excellent logistics solutions
- Support administrative tasks from management as needed
- Provide reports and information to internal customers (Operations, Accounting, etc.)
- Support special projects requested by customers and management
- Provide timely escalation and response for urgent or exception situations
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation
Compensation Range
$83,000 - $95,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Education & Experience
- H.S Diploma/G.E.D Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 8 - 12 Years of Direct Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Business Administration Required
- 10 - 15 Years of Direct Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Business Administration Preferred
- 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required

Working and Environmental Conditions
