Why this role exists:
The SAP Solution Team Lead defines and governs the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solution architecture. It ensures compliance, secure integrations, and scalable enterprise designs that are directly aligned to business outcomes. This role serves as the design authority across the SAP S/4HANA landscape, ensuring that complex, cross-domain solution patterns meet enterprise standards for data, integration, and extensibility.

In this role you will:
Architecture & Design Governance
- Act as the design authority across SAP S/4HANA and BTP landscapes.
- Define enterprise standards for SAP data, integration, and extensibility.
- Perform solution designs and design reviews, providing necessary governance approvals.
- Ensure clean core compliance is maintained across the landscape.
Operational Excellence & Delivery Support:
- Support delivery teams and resolve complex design issues as they arise.
- Ensure solution designs meet business, performance, and architecture standards.
- Deliver solutions in line with roadmap priorities.
- Maintain high performance by achieving key performance indicators related to design quality and accuracy.
Strategic Leadership:
- Solve complex, cross-domain problems and establish new solution patterns.
- Lead end-to-end SAP solution architecture aligned to business outcomes.
- Manage and coach the team to ensure the function retains appropriately qualified expertise to meet business plans.
Governance & Compliance:
- Integrate compliance requirements into business practices and planning.
- Conduct all tasks and activities in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Ensure a safe site by implementing and evaluating safe work practices.
Who you will be working with:
- Internal Leadership: SAP Platform Owner, C-Suite, and various Heads of departments.
- Internal Peer Architects: SAP BTP Architect and SAP Operations Manager.
- Technical & Business Teams: Business Process Owners, PMO, SAP BASIS and Security Teams, Integration and Development Teams, and the Enterprise Architecture Team.
- External Partners: SAP and System Integrators
What success looks like:
- Design Quality: Achieving a Design Approval First Pass rate > 95% and keeping Defect Leakage from Design < 5%.
- Efficiency: Maintaining a Design Turnaround Time of < 5 days.
- Compliance: Ensuring Clean Core Compliance remains > 90%.
- Safety: Accountable for a safe site every day by implementing and evaluating safe work practices.

Qualifications and work experience:
Essential
- Education: Bachelors degree in I.T. or Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of SAP solution architecture experience.
- Skills: Expertise in enterprise integration design, analytical thinking, and strategic thinking.
- Communication: Strong facilitation and communication skills to work across C-Suite and technical levels.
- Technology Proficiency: SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager, Signavio, LeanIX, Jira, and Confluence.
Preferred:
- Education: Postgraduate degree.
