Role Description This is a full-time on-site role, based in Noida, for a Quality Assurance Tester. The QA Tester will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
The role involves close collaboration with developers to understand system functionalities, performing manual testing, and preparing detailed quality assurance documentation. Analytical evaluation and precise execution are key to ensuring software meets the required standards and user expectations. week1: API testing setup — hit every backend endpoint with Postman/Insomnia: auth flows, error handling, rate limits, edge cases Test persona assignment logic — verify different student profiles get correctly tagged and receive appropriate content Test content delivery — verify lecture variations for the same topic are genuinely different across personas and languages month1: API testing across all backend services — verify each endpoint handles valid, invalid, and boundary inputs correctly Load testing — simulate 100, 1,000, 5,000 concurrent users and identify breaking points Test content pipeline output — for sample topics, verify all variations render correctly: video plays, audio syncs, correct language Test scoring, gamification, and streak tracking for exploits and edge cases Database integrity — verify student progress saves correctly across sessions, devices, and network interruptions lookingFor: More technical than a typical manual tester — comfortable with APIs, databases, and scripting. When verifying hundreds of content variations, you write a script that batch-checks the schema, then manually spot-check edge cases.
Understands that in EdTech, content accuracy is as critical as functionality. A wrong answer marked correct is a severity-1 bug even if the app runs fine. notForYou: You only do manual click-through testing — this role needs scripting and API skills. You're not comfortable with changing specs — our product evolves fast, and test plans need to keep up.
You find repetitive content verification tedious — verifying hundreds of lecture variations is a core part of this role.
