Purchase Ledger Clerk Worcester £28,000 - £30,000The OpportunityWe're working with a growing and well-established organisation looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative, supportive team. This role will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the purchase ledger function, ensuring smooth financial operations across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessing a high volume of purchase invoices, ensuring accurate coding and matching to purchase orders and goods received notesReconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis and resolving any discrepancies promptlyMonitoring and chasing outstanding or missing invoices with suppliersMaintaining accurate and compliant financial records in line with company proceduresPreparing mid-month and month-end purchase ledger runsManaging weekly payment runsSupporting reporting processes and providing analysis related to the purchase ledgerLiaising with suppliers to resolve queries and discrepancies professionallyProcessing staff expenses and company credit card transactionsProviding general support to the finance team, including administrative tasks and data entryUtilising Sage 50 and internal systems to manage financial data efficientlyAbout YouPrevious experience within a Purchase Ledger roleStrong attention to detail and high levels of accuracyExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesConfident communicator, particularly when liaising with suppliersExperience using Sage 50 (or similar accounting systems)Proficient in Excel and OutlookA proactive, team-focused approachWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary up to £30,000Company pensionFree on-site parkingA supportive and friendly team environment This is a full time permanent position with a salary of £28,000 - £30,000, dependent on experience.
