Carle Foundation Hospital is the only Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in a Level I Trauma Center in East Central Illinois. In addition to being Level II Trauma Centers, Carle BroMenn Medical Center holds Primary Stroke Center Plus (PSC+) Certification and Carle Health Methodist Hospital is a Certified Primary Stroke Center. All three hospitals offer an inpatient rehabilitation unit for patients recovering from a stroke or other illnesses/injuries
Our ambulatory team includes other BC Neurologists, Neurology Advanced Practice Providers, residents in Neurology, Psychiatry, and medical students from the Carle Illinois College of Medicine
Academic and/or research opportunities available through the Carle Neuroscience Institute in Urbana, the University of Illinois Beckman Institute, and the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Integrated neurosciences service line with strong physician-centered management with support from established Hospitalist, Critical Care, Neuroradiology, and Neurosurgical teams

Protected academic time (up to 0.2 FTE) supports clinical research and innovation. Opportunities include investigator-initiated studies through the Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute at Carle Cancer Institute and collaboration with the Cancer Center at Illinois, home to more than 75 investigators and over $50 million in annual research funding.

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position is $350,000 - $375,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
