Thinkers Valley World School is a new Cambridge International school being built in Jaipur, India, with its first cohort opening in April 2027.
We are recruiting our Founding Principal from outside India - specifically from the EU, UK, and progressive education environments - to lead the academic vision of the school from its very first day.
This is a founding leadership role focused entirely on academics. You will not inherit a finished system. You will help design the curriculum, the pedagogy, the teacher culture, the classroom rituals, and the soul of the school.

Scope of the role (please read carefully)This is a focused academic leadership role. The Founding Principal will lead everything within the academic domain - curriculum, pedagogy, teacher development, classroom culture, student learning, and academic parent communication.
The operational side of the school - financial management, staff hiring and firing, HR processes, vendor management, infrastructure, and administration - will be handled by the founding management team.
The Principal will provide academic input on teacher selection and partner with management on building the academic team, but final hiring, firing, and HR decisions rest with management.We believe this clarity of focus gives our Founding Principal the autonomy to concentrate their energy on what matters most: the quality of learning inside our classrooms.

Required qualificationsMaster's degree in a relevant field (MA, MSc, MPhil, or equivalent)Master's degree in Education (M.Ed, MA Education, MSc Education, or equivalent)Professional teaching qualification or school leadership qualification, where applicableSignificant teaching experience and academic leadership experienceExperience in a Cambridge, international, Finnish, Danish, Scandinavian, or progressive school environmentStrong understanding of curriculum design, assessment, pedagogy, and teacher developmentProfessional standing suitable for leading a Cambridge-pathway international school
Key responsibilities (academic only)Lead the academic vision and curriculum design across gradesMentor, train, and develop the founding teaching team through professional development, classroom observation, and ongoing feedbackDesign school culture, rituals, assemblies, house systems, and student leadershipLead academic parent communication, including admissions conversations and parent workshopsOversee day-to-day academic operations alongside the founding management teamProvide academic input on teacher selection (final hiring decisions sit with management)Ensure Cambridge alignment and academic regulatory compliance
