Job Description
Founding Engineer (Full Stack Python React) Cambridge to £80k Are you a bright, ambitious Software Engineer with start-up experience who enjoys taking ownership and working with a range of technology across the full stack? You could be progressing your career in an impactful role at a growing "Tech for Good" start-up that is using AI technology to ensure facilities compliance and efficiencies within the NHS and Health sector, with plans to expand to other regulated industries. As a Founding Engineer you'll work closely with the founders and a small technology team to design and develop scalable end-to-end solutions working across the full software development lifecycle through to CI/CD and deployment to Azure.
You'll be mainly working with Python and TypeScript, collaboratively problem solving and promoting best practices. Location / WFH: You'll join the team in Cambridge two days a week, ideally with one day a week in London too (expenses covered) and flexibility to work from home. About you: You enjoy taking ownership and can build software from scratch and iterate quickly You have strong technical skills across the full stack, primarily with Python and TypeScript You have experience with RESTful APIs (they use FastAPI), React and other web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 You have experience with LLMs and agentic AI, like to get your hands dirty and have a proactive entrepreneurial spirit You're curious by nature, happy to learn and pick up new things You're keen to work in a start-up environment, comfortable with unstructured environments You're collaborative with great communication skills You are degree educated, minimum 2.1 at BSc from a top tier university, Computer Science or closely related discipline preferred, likely to have studied to MSc / PhD What's in it for you: Salary to £80k Equity Impactful role with excellent career growth opportunities Apply now to find out more about this Founding Engineer (Full Stack Python React) opportunity.
