Job Description Job Description Salary: Part-Time Executive Assistant About Stone Hill Church Stone Hill Church is a nondenominational, gospel-centered, Great Commission church (Matt. 28:16-20) committed to winning, building, connecting, and sending disciples for Jesus Christ. Job Description The Executive Assistant (EA) provides high-level support for the Executive Director (ED) by combining strategic business acumen with strong quantitative and analytical skills, to optimize the EDs time and drive operational efficiency. Along with other administrative staff, the EA is responsible for maintaining a missional vision for the staff, ensuring that all office protocols, policies, and procedures reflect that vision.
The EA requires whole-church strategic thinking, decision-making skills, initiative, a high level of organization, and attention to detail. The EA shall have a heart for knowing God personally and following Christ as a servant. Explaining the religious beliefs and practices of Stone Hill Church is part of this individuals job responsibilities.
Objectives Of This Role The EA, under the supervision of the ED, assists in managing the executive operations of the church. The EA is a strategic support to the ED, managing complex calendars, optimizing internal processes, and facilitating seamless communication to ensure the objectives of the church are accomplished effectively and with the highest level of discretion and professionalism. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Provides operational support in the areas of human resources, financial management, and communications.
Budget tracking & forecasting, expense auditing, ROI analysis Provides actionable insights through data synthesis, metrics tracking, research, and analysis. Employee onboarding, benefits administration, and record keeping. Manages calendaring for the ED.
Plans meetings and events. Drafts, edits, proofreads, and formats reports, presentations, and correspondence. Assists the ED in collaborating with the Elder Board on regular congregational events and special projects.
Responds to calls and emails, often acting as the initial point of contact for the ED. Education A minimum of a high school diploma. A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Experience Similar systems and administrative experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Effectively communicate in English, orally and in writing, with people at all levels of the organization professionally and courteously, facilitating connections between elders, staff, congregants, and lay leaders. Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality with all personal, professional, financial and/or church information. Advanced computer skills and proficiency with a variety of productivity tools such as Google Workspace apps (preferred), Zoom, and Microsoft Office.
The ability to quickly grasp new digital tools necessary for productivity. Think independently in the face of challenges and be proactive in finding solutions. Accurate and detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic, with a high degree of personal responsibility and reliability Adaptable and able to take ownership of complex projects, manage shifting priorities, and meet deadlines. Open to taking on challenges and fulfilling them on time. Ability to execute biblical conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in similar roles. Reporting The EA will report to the ED. The EA, like all other staff, is ultimately accountable to the Board of Elders.
The Board of Elders may change reporting relationships at its discretion. Working Conditions | Schedule The position is a non-exempt, part-time, hourly position.
