Job Description
Join the City of Brandon as an Executive Assistant in the External Relations Office. This full-time position supports the Mayor, fosters government relationships, and oversees executive duties in a municipal setting. The City of Brandon is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as an External Relations Officer/Executive Assistant for an 18-month term.
You will play an essential role in advancing intergovernmental relations, managing the Mayor's office, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. Applicants must have a background in public administration, political science, or related fields, along with experience in administrative functions within a government context. Key Responsibilities: • Support intergovernmental relations and Council priorities • Act as a liaison between various government levels • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing notes • Coordinate Mayor’s events and maintain calendar • Manage correspondence and public inquiries Requirements: • Grade 12 or equivalent • Bachelor’s degree in related fields • 3-5 years political/administrative experience • Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license • Successful completion of a Police Background Check Bring your expertise in public relations, organization, and communication to the City of Brandon’s External Relations team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
