Electrical Engineer - Transmission Lines

Position responsibilities:

• Have at least seven 7 years' experience in Design of Overhead High Voltage Transmission Lines, of voltage of 400 kV and below.
• Capable of designing transmission line plans and profiles, selection of line route, conductor and OPGW selection, sag tension tables, clearances, insulation coordination, tower layouts, insulator strings, material lists, line hardware and accessories, earthing systems, swing angles
• Proficient in Transmission Lines Related Codes, and particularly EN 50341 and IEC 60826
• Proficient in specialized Transmission Line softwares, and especially PLS-CADD
• Proficient in importing and interpreting LIDAR data
• Knowledge of advanced technologies and specialized systems, e.g. High Temperature Low Sag Conductors
• Knowledge of Factory Acceptance and Testing Requirements of conductors, OPGW, insulators and hardware
• Experience in HVDC Overhead Lines is an added advantage
• Experience in Underground and Submarine High Voltage HVAC and/or HVDC cables is an added advantage

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited University with a Master’s degree an added advantage.
• Experience - 7 to 10 Years
