Positions Residential Counselor – Columbia Street Apartments, 20 hours/week, Saturday 4pm-8pm and Sunday 8am-12pm – $20.00/hr – Part‑time Residential Counselor – Hudson Community Apartments, 40 hours/week, Friday & Saturday nights 8pm-8am and Monday & Tuesday 10am-6pm – $20.00/hr – Full‑time Residential Counselor – High Cliff Terrace, 40 hours/week, evenings & weekends – $20.00/hr – Full‑time Residential Counselor – High Cliff Terrace, 40 hours/week, overnights – $20.00/hr – Full‑time Apartment Counselor – Comprehensive Apartment Program (CAP), 40 hours/week, Tuesday‑Saturday day shift – $20.25/hr – Full‑time Per‑diem opportunities available; if the role is engaging, transition to full‑time or part‑time. Job Duties Provide the support needed to maximize the successful integration of participants into independent community living. Offer support, guidance, and hands‑on assistance in learning and relearning independent daily living skills.
Provide contact and instruction to promote wellness and recovery. Offer structure, coordinate services, and act as liaison to other agencies. Provide supportive, goal‑oriented counseling focused on decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
Assist with case‑management duties including securing and maintaining housing and applying for services such as food stamps and social security. Help coordinate transportation and plan recreational activities. Perform all other duties deemed necessary.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency and adaptability with computer software and web‑based systems; aptitude to learn additional systems quickly and efficiently. Ability to work with diverse populations across urban, suburban, and rural settings and with community members from varying socioeconomic backgrounds.
Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias. Willingness to work regularly outside the office and in the field to engage with clients. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid NYS driver’s license with an MVR eligible for agency insurance coverage and reliable transportation. Regular and steady attendance required for all positions. All offers contingent upon successful Statewide Central Registry (SCR), fingerprint clearance and possession of a valid NYS driver’s license with an MVR eligible for agency insurance coverage.
