At WAI Global, this position plays a critical role in producing high-precision components for the global aftermarket across automotive, industrial, and equipment sectors-ensuring quality, efficiency, and consistency at scale. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC and laser cutting machines (fiber and CO ) Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files Load, run, and edit CNC programs at the machine as needed Optimize cutting parameters based on material type and thickness Design and fabricate custom fixtures, jigs, and holding tools Perform first-article and in-process inspections Troubleshoot machining and cutting issues to maintain quality Maintain machines and ensure safe, efficient operation Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams Support automation initiatives, including robotic integration (when applicable) Machines, Controls & Software You'll work with equipment such as: Machines: CNC machines, Fiber laser cutters, CO laser cutting systems Controls: G-code-based CNC controls CAD/CAM Software: Fusion 360, Mastercam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks Robotics (Preferred): FANUC, ABB, KUKA Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges Materials You'll Work With Aluminum Mild / Alloy Steel Stainless Steel Other metals (based on production requirements) What We're Looking For Required: 3+ years of CNC machining and laser cutting experience Strong experience with machine setup, operation, and programming Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances Experience designing and fabricating tooling and fixtures Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented Preferred (Not Required): Experience with robotic programming and integration Exposure to FANUC, ABB, or KUKA systems Experience in automation or process improvement initiatives Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose WAI Global because: Clean, organized, and professional manufacturing environment Advanced equipment and modern production technologies Steady workload with consistent production demand Opportunities to work on automation and advanced manufacturing Growth opportunities into programming, engineering, or automation roles A team culture that values precision, innovation, and craftsmanship Pay, Benefits & Schedule Benefits: Medical, dental, vision 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Training and development opportunities Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Overtime: As needed Apply Interested machinists can apply directly through hireCNC.
