Job Title: Campus DirectorLocation: Pune, MaharashtraInstitute: Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM)Employment Type: Full-Time About the RolePune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) is seeking a visionary and dynamic Campus Director to lead the institution's academic and administrative excellence. This role is ideal for experienced academic leaders currently serving as Dean / Associate Dean / Senior Academic Leader at premier institutions (IIMs, IITs, or top B-Schools) who are ready to transition into a strategic leadership position. The Campus Director will be responsible for end-to-end campus management, including academic delivery, faculty performance, student outcomes, industry interface, and administrative operations, ensuring alignment with PIBM's industry-integrated education model.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership & GovernanceProvide overall leadership and direction for the campus in alignment with institutional vision and growth plansDrive academic excellence, innovation, and industry integration across programs (MBA/PGDM)Develop and execute long-term strategies for institutional growth, rankings, and brand positioningEnsure compliance with regulatory bodies (AICTE, NBA, NAAC, etc.)2. Academic Leadership & CoordinationOversee curriculum design, delivery, and continuous improvement aligned with industry needsMonitor academic planning including timetables, course completion, and quality of deliveryEnsure effective implementation of experiential learning, live projects, and corporate interfaceTrack academic KPIs such as student performance, learning outcomes, and program effectivenessMentor Program Directors, HODs, and faculty for academic excellence3. Faculty Management & DevelopmentLead faculty recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategiesSet and review faculty KRAs including teaching, research, consulting, and industry engagementPromote research culture, publications, and case developmentFacilitate faculty training, FDPs, and industry exposure initiatives4. Student Experience & OutcomesEnsure high standards of student discipline, engagement, and academic progressionOversee student mentoring, counseling, and grievance redressal mechanismsDrive placement readiness, employability skills, and corporate exposureCollaborate with placement team to strengthen outcomes and recruiter relationships5. Industry Interface & Corporate RelationsStrengthen partnerships with corporates for internships, placements, guest sessions, and live projectsEnhance institute's visibility and credibility among industry stakeholdersFacilitate advisory boards and industry-academia collaboration initiatives6. Non-Academic & Administrative LeadershipOversee campus operations including infrastructure, hostel, transport, and student servicesEnsure smooth functioning of administrative departments (HR, Finance, IT, Facilities, etc.)Drive operational efficiency and process improvements across departmentsHandle crisis management, compliance, and governance-related matters7. Performance Management & ReportingDefine and monitor KPIs for academic and administrative teamsConduct regular reviews of departments including academics, placements, and operationsPresent periodic reports to management on performance, challenges, and growth initiatives8. Branding, Admissions & OutreachSupport admissions strategy to attract high-quality studentsRepresent the institute in external forums, conferences, and academic networksStrengthen alumni engagement and institutional branding initiativesEligibility CriteriaEducational QualificationPhD or equivalent in Management or related fieldMBA/PGDM from premier institutions (IIMs/IITs/Top B-Schools preferred)Experience15-20+ years of experience in academia/management educationMinimum 5-8 years in leadership roles such as Dean/Associate Dean/DirectorProven track record in academic administration, faculty leadership, and institutional growthIdeal Candidate ProfileCurrently in or previously held a Dean/Associate Dean role at a reputed B-SchoolStrong exposure to industry-integrated curriculum and placement-driven modelsAbility to balance academic rigor with operational efficiencyVisionary leader with a hands-on approach to execution
