Job Description
AMPM is looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong CAD Operator - Apparel to support our growing design and production teams.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical execution with an eye for luxury aesthetics and precision. The candidate will play a critical role in translating creative concepts into accurate production-ready CADs across accessories and apparel categories.
At AMPM, every detail matters - from print placements and renderings to trims, construction, and final execution. We are looking for someone who can maintain high standards of accuracy, organization, and design sensibility while working across fast-paced luxury collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop CAD files for swatches, first samples, and production files for accessories and apparel.Ensure CAD designs accurately represent design concepts, dimensions, construction details, and specifications before sending to vendors or production.Develop technical CADs and production-ready files for bags, footwear, jewellery, belts, trims, and apparel categories.Create 3D CADs and renders for jewellery, bags, and accessories for sampling, presentations, approvals, and production reference.Develop print placement artworks, repeat layouts, and production-ready print files for apparel collections.Coordinate with vendors including laser cut, print, deboss, embroidery, metal, and other sampling or production vendors to ensure timely delivery and correct execution.Coordinate with printers, laser-cut vendors, and external agencies for artwork development, corrections, and approvals.Correct, revise, and finalize CAD files according to production and sampling requirements before handover.Develop CAD files in multiple sizes and scales for accessories and apparel production.Maintain proper organization of digital files, artworks, technical folders, and sampling records for easy access and smooth workflow.Support the design and production teams with technical corrections, file adaptations, and execution-related requirements.Ensure all artworks and CADs are aligned with brand aesthetics, quality standards, and production feasibility.Stay updated with the latest software advancements, rendering tools, and technical developments to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency in the sampling and production process.
Requirements:
Minimum 4+ years of experience in accessories and apparel CAD developmentBachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Graphic Design, or related field preferredCAD certification or technical training in relevant software/design tools
Technical Skills:
Excellence in CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Rhino or other 3D rendering software.Ability to create 3D CADs and renders for jewellery, bags, and accessories is mandatory.Strong understanding of print development, repeat layouts, placement artworks, and production-ready print files for apparel.Strong technical knowledge of garment and accessory construction is mandatory.Understanding of materials, trims, embellishments, laser-cut files, deboss artworks, and production specifications.Knowledge of production processes, sampling workflows, and vendor coordination.
