Position Summary Account Director – Retail & Food Manufacturers (Scarborough, ON – hybrid work) Lead business development to retailers and food manufacturers, building a strong pipeline, converting strategic opportunities, and partnering cross‑functionally to deliver differentiated, customer‑centric solutions. Key Responsibilities Build new business and open doors in untapped markets, driving Griffith’s growth strategy. Identify, pursue, and secure strategic customers that drive meaningful business growth.
Influence commercial strategy by providing customer, market, and competitive insights. Transform ideas into customer‑focused solutions that stand out in the marketplace in partnership with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Accelerate growth, strengthen customer partnerships, and shape the future of Griffith Foods.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. At least 7 years of progressive sales experience in Retail Sales, Foodservice Sales, food ingredients, or CPG industry. Experience in business development, including filling new market space.
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within Canada. Current location within commuting distance to Scarborough, ON, and willingness to work onsite 2‑3 days per week. Preferred Experience / What Will Set You Apart Previous new business development experience.
Experience serving the foodservice or retail industry. Proficiency selling in B2B food industry environments. MBA or master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
