About the Position Faculty – Medical Office Administration, full‑time position commencing approximately August 24, 2026, at NSCC Lunenburg Campus (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia). Competition number: 2627‑091. Salary scale ranges from $78,771.88 to $104,267.58, with up to nine steps based on experience.
Responsibilities Provide theoretical and practical instruction in the Medical Office Administration program. Collaboratively design and deliver educational experiences for a diverse group of learners, including preparation, instruction, assessment, and evaluation. Ensure health and safety practices and procedures are followed in classroom, shop and labs.
Maintain currency with latest industry practices and develop 21st‑century teaching and learning practices; deliver in diverse modalities (in‑class, online, blended). Academic and career advisement, committee participation, program marketing, curriculum revision, work placement support, liaison with business and industry, representing the College, and upholding NSCC policies. Qualifications Minimum educational qualification: relevant college credential (≥1 year) or university degree in Medical Office Administration or related field.
Minimum five years (full‑time equivalent) recent and related occupational experience in the medical office field. Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, email and Brightspace. Experience liaising with business and industry in your field.
Comfortable working in a digital environment; commitment to technology for student experience, including multimedia and platforms for online/blended learning. Ideally: experience delivering educational programs or training to adults. Experience providing performance feedback considered an asset.
Knowledge and experience applying WHMIS, OHS and occupation‑specific safety practices. Capacity to teach effectively in online/blended environment; willingness to undergo training if lacking experience.
