Sr Trade Compliance Specialist

Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist TCRS4617 HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist supports export and import activities while ensuring compliance with applicable CBP, BIS, and Other Government Agencies’ rules and regulations, with an emphasis on export controls. This position is based near Plano, TX. It will be a hybrid work arrangement after initial onboarding and training period of approximately 3-6 months. EXPECTATIONS Interpret and apply U.S. export and import regulations, escalating complex matters as needed Determine export control requirements, including necessary licenses Manage export shipment documentation and Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings for accuracy Maintain and update HTS, ECCN, and USML product classifications in internal systems Conduct Restricted Party Screening review and approvals Support audits, self-assessments, and monitor corrective actions Create & maintain trade operations procedures and processes – conduct training where needed Compile compliance metrics and present performance reports to management Stay current on U.S. import and export regulatory changes and how it impacts procedures Partner with internal and external partners to establish efficient import and export processes ESSENTIALS High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred 8 years’ experience in Export Compliance; electronic industry preferred Strong working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and related U.S. trade regulations (BIS & DDTC) Solid understanding of import entry process with CBP and Partner Government Agencies Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex regulations in business operations

Experience

with HTS, ECCN, and Schedule B classification Detailed oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
