Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist

We're looking for a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to continue their career at Jacobs - where we'll empower you to learn and grow in the delivery of environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private-sector clients to make our world better. Based in the Midwest (Kansas City, MO, Saint Louis, MO, Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, or Cincinnati, OH), you'll participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning and implementing environmental investigation and remediation projects.

You'll learn from other

in soil and groundwater sampling as well as drilling and subcontractor oversight, spending

about

50% of your time in the field. You'll balance your field work with some time spent in the office evaluating and reviewing data, writing reports and preparing project documents, and coordinating logistics for field activities. You'll be juggling multiple tasks, so we'll rely on you to prioritize effectively, keeping the big-picture in mind.

What You'll Do

Lead and Manage Field Projects Collaborate and Coordinate: Work with subcontractors, internal support staff, and subject matter experts. Technical Excellence: Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems. Mentorship and Growth: Provide motivation and direction to project teams, and benefit from mentorship opportunities to help you grow your career at Jacobs.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree 5-10 years of professional

experience

with delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology/procedures and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media.

Experience

working on project sites and overseeing subcontractors.

Experience

leading teams toward a common goal. 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification. Ideally, You'll Also Have: Master's degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree Professional registration (e.g., Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist) or the intent to obtain and maintain professional certification. Effective verbal and written communication

skills
