Job Description
The Human Resources Specialist at Humanity Pathways Global (HPG) plays a critical role in supporting the people operations of the organization. This position focuses on the day-to-day implementation of HR practices, including talent recruitment, volunteer and support staff engagement, onboarding, compliance, and fostering a healthy, inclusive work culture. The HR Specialist ensures that the human capital needs of the organization are met in alignment with HPG’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities: Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Assist with recruitment and onboarding of employees, volunteers, and support staff. Coordinate training and development opportunities for team members. Help maintain an inclusive workplace culture that values equity, transparency, and collaboration. Track and maintain HR records, documents, and systems. Support compliance efforts with labor laws and nonprofit regulations. Assist with performance reviews and provide administrative support for performance management systems. Work closely with department leads to support team needs and employee/volunteer relations. Use basic HR data to help improve engagement and operational decisions. Support efforts in staff and volunteer retention by promoting a positive organizational culture. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred. 2-4 years of HR or people operations experience; nonprofit experience a plus. Understanding of HR compliance, particularly in nonprofit or volunteer-based settings. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism. A commitment to HPG’s mission and values, and a passion for supporting people.
