Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation - (PT - Rehab)

Join a collaborative physical therapy team serving a diverse patient population in Springfield, Ohio, a welcoming community with a blend of small-city convenience and easy access to larger metros like Dayton and Columbus. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy nearby parks, trails, and water recreation, including Buck Creek State Park and regional bike paths.This hospital-based Physical Therapist role provides the opportunity to work in a modern regional medical center that supports evidence-based practice and interprofessional collaboration. The facility offers a range of services, including medical-surgical, critical care, emergency services, and surgical specialties, giving therapists exposure to varied and clinically engaging caseloads. The environment is focused on safe patient mobility, early rehabilitation, and effective discharge planning.In this position, you will complete comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to address functional mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and pain. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case management, occupational and speech therapy, and other team members to coordinate care and promote optimal patient outcomes. Typical responsibilities include providing bedside therapy in acute and step-down units, working with orthopedic and post-surgical patients, supporting neurological and cardiopulmonary rehab needs, and contributing to fall prevention and safe mobility initiatives.Your typical day may include a combination of evaluations, follow-up treatment sessions, patient and family education, participation in interdisciplinary rounds, and EMR documentation. Caseloads are designed to balance productivity expectations with quality care, and therapy services are structured to support manageable patient ratios in line with hospital standards. You may rotate through different units depending on census and clinical needs, offering exposure to multiple patient populations and settings.Shifts and hours are generally scheduled during daytime hours with possible rotation to weekend or holiday coverage as needed to support continuous patient care. The department emphasizes teamwork, open communication, and professional growth, with opportunities to expand skills, engage in continuing education, and contribute to program development in specialized areas such as orthopedic, neurological, or cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.This role is well-suited for Physical Therapists who enjoy meaningful patient interaction, appreciate working in a supportive multidisciplinary environment, and value the mix of community-focused living with access to broader cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities in southwest Ohio.
