- Needs to be flexible with working times (Most of the team is in NYC/Bristol, CT so ideally based in East Coast.)
- Will support Ad Platforms
- Responsible for about 4 squads specifically focused on salesforce platforms
- Teams are transitioning from environment that was vendor run to teams that are now internally run.
- Must have strong process orientation
- Having Salesforce experience is a huge benefit
- Must be a strong scrum lead - having a blend also of technical Project management will help
- Must understand Scrum lifecycle and must have Agile experience
Description:
Business Operations is responsible for global program and technical project management, capital and portfolio management, resource prioritization, tracking and communication of performance, administrative services, AOP & LRP Planning, Space Management, and other key functions critical to the operation of the Entertainment & Technology (DEET) division.
The Global Program Management team for Ad Platforms - Addressable is focused on facilitating the design and engineering behind DMED Technology's ad platforms for our non-linear distribution channels. Ad Platforms develops the products, technology, systems, and tools that extend and accelerate advertising business and drive advertising innovation and performance. The department supports a diverse set of brands.
Job Summary:
This is a position within the DEET: Business Operations - Global Program Management organization.
The Technical Program Manager will focus on the planning and execution of a programs in the Business Systems pillar in Ad Platforms - Addressable. The Business Systems portfolio consists of external applications and systems that are managed internally and fully integrated with proprietary systems, to support critical, foundational elements of the ad platforms workflow.
This position requires proven experience in program management. Ideal candidates must be highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to autonomously work on multiple assignments that may span the department.
They must be capable of digging into technical details and clearly communicating schedules, risks, status, and processes to a variety of business and technical audiences. They must be able to partner with closely with project managers and technical leads to coordinate schedules and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
" Accountable for driving execution and delivery of a set of software development deliverables from start to finish.
" Leverage experience with Agile and Scrum to lead teams to successful delivery.
" Lead delivery teams through the identification and management of risks and the resolution of issues, and escalating to management as appropriate.
" Facilitator must be able to:
o Facilitate team ceremonies
o Facilitate meetings/workshops with groups of people beyond the immediate delivery team
o Facilitate the team through the resolution of complex issues
o Drive workshop/meeting to conclusion and/or actionable outcome
o Ensure group participation
" Develop and deliver outcomes/results/notes in a manor appropriate to the level of the group
" Responsible for managing team dynamics, morale and motivation while building a culture where all members and points of view are respected
" Accountable for delivering 'quality' solutions that provide desired business benefits and/or solve business problems - 'on-time' & within budget.
" Monitor and report on team metrics around delivery
" Able to quickly solve complex problems in a challenging, dynamic environment with minimal direction.
" Provide frequent and transparent communication to the business and technical senior management, delivery teams and stakeholders regarding initiative health, issues, and risks.
" Effectively communicates complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Executives.
" Interacts with internal and external peers, initiative stakeholders, and managers to exchange complex information.
" Ability to influence key decision-makers / stakeholders towards new business processes and technical solutions that best serve DEE Technology & the company
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive activities for large, strategic, technically complex programs
- Develop plans and timelines
- Ensure transparency of progress and issues/risks. Proactively drive risk mitigation and contingency planning, along with issue resolution
- Communicate status, updates, and program summaries via presentations, email, and direct communication with key stakeholders and executive leadership
- Ensure that all involved parties understand and accept their roles and responsibilities
- Navigate the TWDC to effectively drive progress, even when the scope of responsibilities may be unclear
- Track and report key program metrics, informing stakeholders as appropriate
- Facilitate all build activities (including QA and UAT), as per plan (where applicable)
- Proactively drive, track, and report on budgets
- Collaborate with other program management colleagues to coordinate activities across multiple technology teams
- Ensure team is held accountable for their deliverables
- Understands most project domain technical components, including architecture, tools and deployment practices that development team is employing, including cross-system interactions and dependencies
- Partner with Product to facilitate advancement of intake pipeline
- Independently manage activities and resolve conflict within associated teams, with minimal influence from management
- Effortlessly sift through "noise and facilitate discussions and activities with a laser focus towards results
- Exemplify leadership characteristics through collaboration, work ethic, and creative thinking.
Strive to inspire others and deliver the best possible outputs
- Coordinate with external vendors, where applicable
Minimum:
- 8+ years of experience managing large-scale, strategic, software development programs in a well-established global technology organization
- Proven ability to facilitate effective communication across disparate teams
- Evidence of strong planning, delivery, and problem-solving skills
- Superb written and verbal communications, presentation skills, and meeting facilitation skills (especially when working with senior leadership)
- BA/BS or equivalent experience required
Preferred:
- Experience working in a media technology environment
- Ad tech domain knowledge, or demonstrated aptitude for learning a technology-based engineering domain
- Formal project management certifications
