Teacher-Principal (1.0 FTE Replacement)
Sierra Hutterian School—an international K‑8 colonnade school with 20 students located approximately 43 km northwest of Shaunavon, SK—seeks a full‑time replacement teacher beginning August 26, 2026 through June 25, 2027.
The Chinook School Division, which serves nearly 6,000 students in 60 schools, is proud to offer a vibrant, progressive, and inclusive learning environment. Qualifications required:
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment.
- A teaching philosophy reflecting a constructivist and cooperative learning approach.
- Ability to develop meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, PLCs, professionals, and community service agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to connect with youth in student‑centered learning environments, and willingness to connect with students outside the classroom.
- Commitment to truth and reconciliation and to supporting diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborative membership in the educational team.
- Respectful of Hutterian culture.
- Effective use of instructional strategies that support student learning and growth.
- Successful teaching experience or training.
- Certified as a teacher in good standing in Saskatchewan or the ability to obtain certification.
