The Role The Supply Chain Specialist plans and coordinates material flow, inventory, and supplier relationships to support manufacturing and distribution. This role ensures alignment between production needs, inventory accuracy, and material availability.You will work closely with purchasing, warehousing, and manufacturing teams to manage inventory, control costs, and mitigate supply chain risks, while also supporting sourcing activities and providing backup to the Supply Chain Manager as needed.
Day in the Life Looks LikePlan and coordinate incoming bulk materials on a daily and weekly basisCollaborate with logistics for scheduling pickups and backhaulsServe as backup to the Supply Chain ManagerMaintain accurate inventory levels and oversee inventory control processesSource bulk materials for production and resaleNegotiate pricing, contracts, quality standards, and delivery timelinesMaintain system updates for cost, vendors, and lead timesCollaborate on forecasting with warehouse teamsEvaluate supplier performanceWhat You BringAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; 2–3 years of relevant experience preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExperience with MRP systems and inventory management.
