Company An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Supply Chain Director to lead and transform its end-to-end supply chain operation. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for developing a resilient, efficient and scalable supply chain strategy that supports operational excellence, customer satisfaction and long‑term business growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping procurement, planning, logistics, inventory management and supplier performance across a complex manufacturing environment.
The business is looking for a confident and credible leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands‑on operational delivery. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a high‑performing supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives Lead procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics and inventory functions across multiple sites Build strong supplier relationships whilst improving cost, quality, delivery and risk management performance Drive operational efficiencies, continuous improvement initiatives and service excellence throughout the supply chain Improve forecasting, demand planning and stock optimisation processes Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, finance and commercial teams to support business priorities Lead and develop a capable supply chain team, fostering accountability, collaboration and high performance Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring resilience and continuity of supply Support strategic growth initiatives, including new product introduction and operational expansion Deliver meaningful reporting and insights to the senior leadership team Profile The ideal candidate will be an accomplished supply chain leader with significant experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.
