Substation Design Engineer

Substation Design Engineer (AIS/GIS up to 220kV) Ahmedabad Experienced only

GreenOps is looking for a highly driven Substation Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Ahmedabad.

This role is suited for professionals who want exposure to high-impact renewable energy and utility-scale power infrastructure projects while working across both primary and secondary engineering for substations up to 220kV.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign AIS/GIS substations including:Equipment layoutsBusbar arrangementsEarthing systemsSLDs and GA drawingsDevelop secondary engineering deliverables:Protection & control schemesPanel layoutsWiring diagramsRelay logic and SCADA interfacesCoordinate with civil/structural teams for foundations and support structuresPrepare technical specifications, BOQs, and engineering reportsSupport engineering reviews, procurement, FAT, site execution, and commissioning activitiesEnsure compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, CBIP, and utility standards

Desired Skills & Experience3-5 years of hands-on experience in substation engineeringExperience in AIS/GIS substations up to 220kVStrong understanding of:Protection systemsTransformersCT/PT selectionEarthing & insulation coordinationFault level calculationsFamiliarity with utility and renewable energy projects

Software ExposureAutoCADETAP / DigSILENTPLS-CADD (preferred)
