Main PurposeThe Sr. Flow Assurance Engineer is responsible for production optimization of conventional Oil & Gas fields and CBM assets. The role involves leveraging analytical methodologies and simulation tools to enhance production performance, ensure operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
The candidate will work closely with Operations and Subsurface teams to drive improvements in production management, maximize hydrocarbon recovery, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Job Accountabilities:
- Production Performance Analysis and Optimizationa. Monitor field production performance against potential, analyze production deferrals, and identify remedial actions. b. Develop well and network models using simulation software such as OLGA, PIPESIM, PROSPER, and GAP to analyze production performance and establish requirements for maximizing production potential. c. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance well inflow, outflow, and overall network production performance. d. Evaluate and optimize production performance from artificial lift wells (PCP, SRP, Gas Lift) within field constraints. e. Support the development of mid- to long-term production plans aligned with business objectives.
- Field Operations Supporta. Advise Operations teams on production optimization opportunities. b. Identify and support mitigation of operational issues and risks such as hydrate formation, sand production, scale deposition, and wax formation that may lead to production downtime. c. Support the formulation of well intervention strategies for artificial lift wells to sustain and enhance production. d. Provide technical support in the planning and execution of innovative technologies to improve production performance.
- Technical Assurance and Compliancea. Provide independent technical assurance on proposals related to production management. b. Support second-line assurance activities by offering technical validation and risk assessments in line with industry standards and company policies. c. Ensure all new processes and technologies comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Managementa. Work closely with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams. b. Collaborate with site teams for the implementation of production optimization and enhancement initiatives. c. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and production excellence.
Educational QualificationsB.E./B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Experience (Must Have)Minimum 6 years of experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry.
Functional CompetenciesOperational experience in well completion, sand control, well interventions, and basic processing facilities.Skilled in well inflow, well outflow, production network, and PVT modeling and performance analysis.Proficient in industry-standard nodal analysis and simulation software such as OLGA, PIPESIM, PROSPER, and GAP.Knowledge of flow assurance practices, including management of hydrate formation, sand production, wax deposition, and scale formation.Understanding of artificial lift systems such as PCP, SRP, and Gas Lift.Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to production activities.
