Position Details

• Position Name: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Setting: Home Health & Hospice
• Pay: Point System | Paid Per Visit: $55-$170
• Shift: Full-Time, Normal Business Hours

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist or:
  • Completed 350 hours of supervised clinical practicum (or in progress)
  • Have at least 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services post-degree
  • Passed an approved national examination in SLP
• 1 year of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology
• CPR Certification
• Valid CA Driver’s License and Auto Insurance

Job Summary

• Conduct evaluations and assess the home environment to identify equipment needs related to speech and language functions
• Identify functional speech defects and develop a plan of care to enhance patient functionality
• Administer speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and equipment
• Recommend communication devices and aids as needed
• Collaborate with referring physicians and organization staff to ensure comprehensive care
• Participate in case conferences, in-service training, and meetings to facilitate coordinated care
• Prepare and submit documentation according to organization policy
• Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theory
• Identify and refer patients and families to additional services as appropriate
• Instruct patients, families, and healthcare personnel on the treatment plan and supervise home health aides related to speech-language therapy
