The OpportunityThe Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Specialist is a senior, hands‑on technical role responsible for the design, implementation, operation, security, and optimization of cloud and infrastructure platforms across enterprise environments. This role supports business‑critical systems by ensuring availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency of hybrid infrastructure services. The role functions as a technical authority and Tier‑3 escalation point, contributing to architecture, automation, security, and continuous improvement initiatives.This is an IN-OFFICE position, Located in Lake Mary, FL.What You'll Do

This role would require Average 15% of Time for client help desk and 75% Of time for Cloud Systems administration and projects.

Scope & FocusOwns cloud and infrastructure architecture and standardsDrives modernization, standardization, and long‑term roadmapsActs as the highest technical escalation point for Cloud and InfrastructureKey ResponsibilitiesDefine cloud and infrastructure architecture, standards, and blueprintsSenior‑level, hands‑on experience in cloud and infrastructure engineeringProven experience supporting enterprise‑scale, hybrid IT environmentsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and lead technical initiativesLead major platform initiatives and modernization programsPartner with security, applications, and business stakeholdersEvaluate and select technologies, vendors, and platformsGuide cost optimization, resilience, and security strategyProvide mentorship and technical leadership across teamsLeadership & CollaborationServe as senior technical escalation point for Infrastructure and Cloud issuesMentor junior engineers and sys admins and contribute to technical standards and documentationSupport change management, user adoption, and enterprise IT initiativesSUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONSIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.Work on projects as necessaryAlternating on call / off call schedule with other Administrator.OTHER DUTIESWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Village Farms International, Inc. from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety.

The Company will provide the required PPE. Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to your Supervisor.

Bachelor's degree in computer field Technical Skills15+ years of expertise across cloud and infrastructureDeep expertise in: Hybrid environments, Firewalls, Network, WAPsCloud: Nutanix, GCP, AWS, and AzureServer, storage, and virtualization administrationMonitoring, patching, backups, and routine maintenanceMicrosoft 365 & IdentityLarge‑scale, multi‑site enterprise environmentsDisaster recovery and business continuity designBackup strategies and recovery planningProfessional SkillsStrong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilitiesAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholdersExperience working in enterprise IT, regulated, or security‑focused environmentsProven ability to work independently and lead initiativesPreferred QualificationsNutanix certifications (administration or advanced operations)Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate AZ‑104 or AZ-305GCP Advanced / Professional LevelFamiliarity with ITIL, change management, or enterprise governance models
