Social studies teacher

The International School of Curitiba (ISC) is seeking a passionate and experienced High School Social Studies Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. This role involves teaching high school social sciences coursesincluding subjects such as History, Geography, Economics, or Global Politics. The ideal candidate is an innovative educator who fosters critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and interdisciplinary connections.

• Plan and deliver engaging and student-centered lessons in social sciences.
• Foster a collaborative and inquiry-based learning environment.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
• Develop and implement curriculum aligned with ISC s standards and IB philosophy.
• Support students in developing research, analysis, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages participation and respects individuality.
• Establish clear expectations for student behavior and maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.
• Support the school community by contributing to extracurricular activities, school events, and projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the High School Principal.

• Bachelors degree (Licenciatura) in Sociology, History or Geography; or a related field (required).
• Valid teaching certification/license (licenciatura).
• Master s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written) is mandatory.
