Job Description
The Show Cleaning & Meeting Services Attendant is an on-call position that reports directly to the Show Cleaning & Meeting Services Supervisor. They are primarily responsible for completing general daily tasks of move in, show day and move out of events. This on-call position operates during select Expo events.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and the Expo policies, practices and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Perform general tasks including but not limited to: scraping tape, vacuuming, trash removal, monitoring the cleanliness of the restrooms.
- Promote teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Physical presence at work is an essential function of this job.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.
- This is a safety related position.
- Other duties may be added at the Company's discretion.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Strong ability to evaluate information and take action based on assessment.
- Must be able to work well with others, communicate well, give and receive direction, review the work of others, and provide feedback.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry or push a minimum of 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and potentially loud environment.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to withstand various activities such as frequent walking, prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
- Ability to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.
Minimum Requirements:
- 18 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required card, certification, or license as required by law or policy.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
