About PeerLINC:
PeerLINC is a knowledge hub established by TB Alliance, in collaboration with the Tropical Disease Foundation in Manila, that provides technical assistance in speeding up programmatic implementation of innovative tuberculosis treatments globally. PeerLINC follows a peer-to-peer model for sharing of best practices, experiences, tools, and materials by connecting experts from early-adopter countries with other countries interested in implementing the latest TB treatments to accelerate access to improved TB cures recommended by WHO.
Since its launch in 2024, PeerLINC has engaged with more than 40 countries, globally creating a learning and experience sharing network that aims to improve treatment outcomes and people experience, to ultimately drive equal access to knowledge and care in TB.
PeerLINC is supported by Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in close collaboration with the Department of Health, Philippines.
The Senior Technical Advisor will report to the Head of PeerLINC. This is a remote work opportunity with expected travel up to 40%.
The Role:
The Senior Technical Advisor is responsible for leading and managing PeerLINC's programmatic and clinical programs. This role will involve:
Development and delivery of training programs, experience sharing sessions, and tools, to facilitate the knowledge exchange primarily with high TB burden countries on the Programmatic and Clinical aspects of implementing new TB treatments (starting with BPaLM/BPaL)Serve as a contact point for continuous communication with countries and facilitate peer-to-peer exchange of the best practices, implementation progress, and additional requests for technical assistance that PeerLINC can provideCreate and lead the pool of international consultants serving as subject matter experts in specific areas (such as clinical, laboratory, supply chain, etc.). Plan and coordinate the involvement of experts in specific PeerLINC activities, such as training, module development, guidelines revision, and othersThe Senior Technical Advisor will also facilitate the smooth operations of the Global Technical Expert Group (G-TEC)Serve as a subject matter expert, providing inputs for other members or the PeerLINC team working together with the Communications Lead and Project ManagerServe as subject matter expert in communications with global and country TB stakeholders when requiredRepresent PeerLINC during international, regional, and national conferences and scientific events.
You have:
A degree in Medicine (MD) or Public HealthAt least 10 years of experience of working in NGOs or government bodies, supporting development activities in the field of infectious disease, preferably tuberculosisStrong experience in the provision of technical assistance to national TB programsExperience in developing and delivering training coursesAbility to influence those outside of the immediate sphere of controlStrong communication and public speaking skillsFluency in English required; additional UN languages will be a benefitProven experience of collaboration with LMICs countries in the field of healthcare will be considered as a benefitReadiness to work across different cultures and time zones will be considered a benefit.
Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for candidates from India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
