Senior Research Analyst (Oil & Gas) - Mumbai

JOB SUMMARYAs part of a growing market intelligence practice, this position will require you to work on projectsthat are important for our client's procurement organization and their overall functional success inspecific spend area (e.g. chemicals, Engineering. & Construction etc.) Location - Mumbai REQUIREMENTS• 3 to 4 y ears of work of research or relevant experience, with a demonstrated ability toconsistently deliver quality output.• We are open to candidates that may not be working as research analysts today, howevertheir existing role requires them to perform secondary or primary research to accomplish theirtasks.• Experience OR education in Oil &Gas industry is mandatory - i.e. petrochemicals/specialtychemicals/exploration and production/drilling/upstream and downstream market• Understanding of the oil and gas value chain. (The production process and other generictechnical details of the upstream and downstream processes)• Knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain corporate functions and processes is a plus• Any experience in managing (directly or indirectly) junior team members will be a plus• Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• As part of a growing market intelligence practice, this position will require you to work onprojects that are important for our client's procurement organization and their overallfunctional success in specific spend area (e.g. chemicals, Engg. & Construction etc.)• On specified topics (which will be O&G specific), you will be responsible to deliver thoroughresearch reports that captures information that is important to a procurement stakeholder.This would typically include aspects like supply-demand analysis, supply base overview,pricing/cost information and others• Post 3 months of joining, you will be expected to deliver 4-6 such projects every quarter• Within 6 months of joining, we expect you to design research assignments with clients, andsingle-handedly own and manage its delivery• Work with client's key stakeholders to understand their business requirements and structureMI reports to address those requirements• As a senior research member, you will mentor junior/new analysts on their researchassignments and provide QA support• Proactively deliver thought leadership/blogs to portray GEP as one of the thought leaders in industry
