About the Job Note: This position requires Dayforce and/or UKG system experience, fluency in speaking French, and U.S. payroll knowledge. Role Overview The Senior Payroll Consultant plays a pivotal role in providing expert advice and support in Payroll, Tax, Human Resources, and Benefits administration. This position requires a strong focus on client advisory, leveraging subject matter expertise to drive customer success and strengthen partner relationships. The Senior Payroll Consultant is responsible for leading payroll processing support, documentation development, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
Cross-functional collaboration with the business development team is required to align client expectations with service deliverables and work to resolve client relations issues effectively. What You’ll Do Lead full-cycle Canadian and U.S. payroll administration and processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance Identify and implement process improvements through your expertise, interviews, and detailed analysis Support client audits, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance Support system upgrades, consolidations, data migrations, and implementations Align client operations with federal, provincial, and territorial regulations Collaborate with senior management, escalating concerns when needed Deliver training and develop key internal documentation Provide clear and actionable recommendations to enhance client operations Qualifications Expertise: 7+ years of payroll experience and a strong grasp of best practices Leadership: Proven ability to manage staff, teams, or complex projects Tech‑Savvy: Experience with payroll systems (strong preference for Dayforce and/or UKG) and strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge: Payroll tax and human resources experience are strong assets Certification: Canadian Payroll Association certification (PCP or CPM) or equivalent experience Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills French/English bilingualism is required Adaptability: Ability to travel as needed and lift/move materials up to 50 pounds when traveling What Sets You Apart A passion for delivering top‑notch client solutions A commitment to continuous learning and improvement A collaborative spirit and a proactive approach to problem‑solving Work Environment Flexibility to work over 40 hours per week as needed.
