Job Title: Senior Merchandiser Company: Thomas Pink Shirtmaker Limited Brands: Thomas Pink Role Purpos eThe Senior Merchandiser will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of the brand through strategic range planning, trading analysis, and inventory management across Retail, E-commerce, and Wholesale channels. Working closely with the Product, Design, and Buying teams, this role will ensure the product assortment reflects market trends, customer demand, and business objectives while delivering sustainable growth and profitability . Key Responsibiliti es Range Planning & Commercial Strat egyDrive seasonal range planning across all product categories, ensuring assortments align with brand direction, customer demand, and commercial objectiv es.Utilise market trends, competitor analysis, customer insights, and historical best sellers to inform range architecture and assortment decisio ns.Develop clear category frameworks, option counts, and pricing strategies to ensure balanced and commercially effective collectio ns.Build and maintain strong price architecture across categories, ensuring clear good/better/best positioning, margin optimisation, and alignment to customer expectations and market competitivene ss.Partner closely with Product, Design, and Buying teams to shape commercially balanced collections with clear pricing, category depth, and lifecycle planni ng.Build category strategies that optimise sales, margin, and inventory productivity across all channe ls.Support product sign-off processes with robust commercial analysis and recommendatio ns.
Trading, Promotional Strategy & Performance Manage mentLead daily, weekly, and monthly trade reviews across Retail, E-commerce, and Wholesale chann els.Monitor and analyse key trade metrics including sales, sell-through, margin, stock cover, intake, markdown, and inventory productiv ity.Develop and execute promotional and markdown strategies in partnership with Retail, Digital, and Marketing teams to drive sales performance while protecting brand equity and profitabil ity.Analyse promotional effectiveness and customer response to optimise future trading and campaign activ ity.Identify risks and opportunities within the business and implement actionable trading strategies to maximise performa nce.Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership, highlighting reporting category performance, sell-through, KPI performance, emerging trends, and key commercial opportunities across all chann els.Drive in-season trading actions including replenishment, markdown optimisation, and stock rebalanc ing. Inventory & Buying Manag ementOversee the end-to-end buy process for Stores, E-commerce, and Wholesale partners, ensuring buys are commercially aligned and channel appropr iate.Manage inventory levels to ensure optimum stock availability while minimising risk and excess stock expo sure.Collaborate with Planning and Supply Chain teams to support effective intake management and forecas ting.Maintain ownership of WSSI and OTB processes, ensuring alignment to sales plans and financial tar gets.Support strategic allocation decisions to maximise full-price sell-through and customer availabi lity. Skills & Expe rienceProven experience within Merchandising, preferably in premium or luxury fa shion.Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical and trading capabil ities.Experience managing multi-channel merchandising across Retail, E-commerce, and Whol esale.Strong understanding of inventory management, forecasting, WSSI, and OTB pla nning.Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration s kills.Strong understanding of range planning, pricing architecture, and category manag ement.Highly proficient in Excel and merchandising/planning sy stems.Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all l evels.Customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of market and fashion trends
