Job Description
Summary The Senior Manager leads accounting, inventory, and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate month-end close, ledger integrity, and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. This role manages and develops the accounting and financial reporting team, coordinates shared services, and partners with the Controller on budgeting and forecasting. The Senior Manager also drives process improvements, internal controls, and group-led initiatives within the finance function.
Responsibilities Lead and oversee the month-end close process and review general ledger accounts, payroll items, and capital expenditures. Manage preparation and validation of financial statements, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and reporting packages for local and parent company submissions. Oversee inventory reconciliations, valuation, and related month-end reporting in partnership with the Inventory Manager.
Manage, mentor, and develop accounting and financial reporting staff; participate in recruitment and performance management. Coordinate with Controller, AR/AP, shared services and Group Consolidation on reporting, compliance, and corrective actions. Identify, propose, and implement process improvements, system upgrades, and enhanced internal controls.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; MBA or master’s preferred. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a senior or managerial role with responsibility for financial reporting. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS and experience preparing statutory and parent company reports. Proven leadership and people development skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
Experience with month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, inventory reconciliations, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities with attention to detail. #J-18808-Ljbffr
