Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer
Southern Integrated Solutions & Consulting (SISC) is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for processing plants and related facilities across various industry sectors, including upstream, midstream, downstream, government, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
- Serve as the technical lead for electrical and instrumentation engineering projects.
- Collaborate with clients to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and project teams.
- Conduct system analysis to ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Develop electrical deliverables up to 480VAC, such as motor schematics, panel schedules, switchgear, and motor control centers.
- Specify instrumentation devices like flow meters, pressure transmitters, and temperature sensors.
- Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and reports.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and propose innovative solutions.
- Ensure work aligns with quality, safety, and client satisfaction standards.
- Perform I&C engineering tasks with minimal oversight; may serve as project lead or manager on smaller projects.
- Develop instrumentation deliverables such as instrument indexes, datasheets, cable schedules, and wiring diagrams.
- Review electrical documents for accuracy and quality.
- Participate in project site walks and design review meetings.
- Conduct electrical studies like HAZOP, LOPA, and alarm rationalization.
- Develop equipment requisitions, bid tabulations, and supplier documents.
- Perform field surveys and develop engineering estimates and proposals.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
- Expertise in power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation technologies.
- Proficiency in industry tools like AutoCAD and SKM.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Legal eligibility to work in the US (US Citizen or Green Card).
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
