Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Category Marketing Manager to join the Brown Thomas Arnotts Marketing team. This key management role is responsible for developing and executing the marketing and commercial strategy across several key business categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and delivery of marketing and communication campaigns across key categories
- Own the master trade marketing calendar to deliver relevant and inspiring customer experiences
- Partner with internal stakeholders—including Buying, Operations, Multichannel, and Finance—to deliver category objectives
- Manage and brief internal creative, digital, and media teams to deliver best‑in‑class content and campaigns
- Oversee relationships with brand partners, media, and creative agencies, ensuring strong collaboration and commercial alignment
- Manage and track the category marketing budget, ensuring all activity delivers strong ROI and aligns with business goals
- Lead the execution of key events, launches, and activations across all touchpoints including store, digital, and PR
- Use CRM data and insights to shape targeted communications and improve customer engagement
- Analyse performance metrics and customer data to evaluate the success of campaigns and inform future planning
- Benchmark competitor activity and global best practice to continually innovate and elevate the customer experience
Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing or category management role within retail, beauty, or luxury sectors
- Proven track record of delivering successful integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and optimising ROI
- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with internal and external partners
- Highly creative and strategic with a deep understanding of market trends
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and organisational skills
- Skilled in analysing marketing data to drive insight and improvement
- Passionate about fashion, innovation, and delivering exceptional brand experiences
