Our client is seeking a talented Second Line IT Support Engineer to join their growing technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MSP professional who enjoys a varied role across cloud technologies, networking, infrastructure support and project delivery.

Working within a fast-paced managed services environment, you will provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to a diverse customer base while playing a key role in infrastructure projects, cloud migrations and ongoing service improvement initiatives.

As a Second Line IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support across customer environments while ensuring service levels and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

Key responsibilities include:Providing 2nd and 3rd line support remotely and on-site across customer environmentsManaging incidents, service requests and problem tickets through ITSM platformsPrioritising workloads effectively while maintaining SLA and KPI performance targetsSupporting and administering Microsoft Azure infrastructureTroubleshooting and maintaining network infrastructure across multiple client environmentsActing as an escalation point for complex technical issuesDelivering infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations and system upgradesEngaging directly with customers and stakeholders to provide technical guidance and supportMonitoring and maintaining customer environments to ensure optimal performance and availabilityContributing to continuous improvement initiatives and service enhancementsWhat We're Looking ForEssential ExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environmentMinimum 3 years' experience supporting Microsoft Azure environmentsMinimum 3 years' networking experienceStrong experience providing 2nd and 3rd line technical supportMicrosoft Azure administration experience, including:Virtual MachinesVirtual Networks (VNETs)Network Security Groups (NSGs)Load BalancersAzure StorageAzure Active Directory / Entra ID administrationExperience supporting hybrid cloud environmentsWindows Server administration experienceActive Directory, DNS and DHCP administrationMicrosoft Exchange support experienceMicrosoft 365 administration, including SharePoint and Office 365Virtualisation experience using Hyper-VStrong understanding of network infrastructure, including:LAN/WAN technologiesVPN connectivityRouting and switching conceptsWireless networkingBroadband technologiesFirewall administration experience, ideally SonicWall or equivalent platformsDesirable ExperienceExperience with ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Automate or similar ITSM platformsExposure to monitoring and alerting solutionsExperience delivering cloud migration projectsBackup and disaster recovery solution administrationPrevious mentoring or knowledge-sharing experience within a support teamCertifications
