SAP Platform Associate Engineer

Why this role exists:

The SAP Platform Associate Engineer supports SAP system monitoring, maintenance, and technical operations to ensure system stability and performance. This role maintains peak platform health by executing technical tasks, such as job scheduling, patching, and system refreshes, which prevent technical debt from impacting business-critical functions.

Where you will make a difference:

In this role you will:

System Monitoring & Maintenance:

• Execute day-to-day system monitoring to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform patching and system refreshes to keep the landscape secure and up to date.
• Manage job scheduling and monitor background jobs to ensure business processes complete successfully.
• Provide system support activities to maintain high availability and performance.

Incident & Operational Support:

• Ensure timely resolution of system alerts and technical incidents.
• Achieve key performance indicators related to alert resolution, job success, and backup completion.
• Solve mostly known or repeatable issues through technical troubleshooting and documented procedures.
• Coordinate with SAP Support to resolve external technical challenges.

Safety & Compliance:

• Maintain documentation and vendor engagement in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Identify and report site hazards or incidents to support a safe working environment.
• Ensure all technical requirements and documentation comply with established governance and security standards.

Who you will be working with:

• Internal Technical Teams: Developers, Integration Teams, Security, and Support Analysts.
• External Support: SAP Support.

What success looks like:

• System Stability: Achieving a Backup Success Rate of 100% and Patch Compliance of 100%.
• Responsiveness: Resolving system alerts within an Alert Resolution Time of 30 minutes.
• Process Reliability: Maintaining a Job Failure Rate of 2%.
• Compliance: Ensuring 100% of technical tasks and documentation meet safety, governance, and security standards.

Qualifications and work experience:

Essential:

• Education: Degree in I.T.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of SAP BASIS experience.
• Skills: Strong technical troubleshooting abilities and high attention to detail.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Event Mesh, SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager, LeanIX, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD Toolchains, and Monitoring Tools.
