What You’ll Build: The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Controlling – Revenue Assurance
Expected start date to end date: August, 2026 – August, 2028
Operational Support & Automation
- Support data collection, validation, and preparation activities from multiple systems to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Help identify opportunities to automate manual steps and improve efficiency using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Participate in testing and documenting automation or process improvements.
Revenue Assurance & Controls
- Support the execution of revenue controls and validations related to usage, pricing, and billing.
- Assist in reviewing and reconciling financial and operational data to ensure accuracy.
- Help identify discrepancies and support the team in investigating root causes and documenting findings.
Closing & Reporting Activities
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing preparation by maintaining templates, checklists, and data trackers.
- Help prepare supporting documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with other finance and operations teams to ensure consistency and timely completion of tasks.
- Gain exposure to SAP’s global financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Work closely with experienced controllers and analysts to learn about revenue assurance, financial governance, and automation in practice.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute with ideas to simplify or improve existing processes.

- Currently studying a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or similar (starting or intermediate student—max. two years before completing).
- Experience in administration and finance areas are nice to have, not expected, but considered a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a problem‑solving mindset.
- Proactive, self‑driven, and committed to a continuous improvement mindset (zero‑repeat culture).
- High degree of communication and good handling of it (verbal and written).
- Work under pressure, by objectives and oriented to results.
- Collaboration, commitment and teamwork.
- Know how to organize and have a positive attitude, such as “you can.”
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate cross‑functional environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with automation and data tools is a plus (e.g., KNIME, SAC, AI‑assisted analysis).
- AI advanced tools is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
The Consumption Controlling team within the Cloud Controlling CoE is a newly established team focusing on SAP’s most strategic and fast‑growing business models—including Commit‑to‑Consume (C2C), Public Cloud, and Artificial Intelligence. Our mission is to build the foundation for effective forecasting, steering, and reporting of SAP’s future business models by providing best‑in‑class analysis, governance, and financial insights.
We are looking for a motivated and curious intern who is eager to learn about finance, controlling, and revenue assurance in a global environment. As part of the team, you will support key operational and analytical activities related to consumption‑based models—helping to ensure data accuracy, process consistency, and compliance with SAP’s financial standards.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across various finance processes, work closely with experienced controllers, and contribute to meaningful initiatives that have real business impact.
