SAP BTP Associate Engineer

The SAP BTP Associate Engineer supports the operation and optimisation of SAP BTP environments to ensure high availability and cost efficiency. This role solves the problem of platform complexity by managing subaccounts, entitlements, and service provisioning. This role ensures a secure and high-performing environment that directly enables modern digital solutions the business.

In this role you will:

Platform Operations & Service Provisioning:

• Manage BTP environments day-to-day to ensure continuous platform availability and performance.
• Provision services and manage subaccounts and entitlements to support development needs.
• Handle mostly operational and platform-level issues to maintain environment stability.
• Achieve key performance indicators that are aligned to the overall technology strategy.

Governance, Cost & Security:

• Manage platform costs and resource entitlements to ensure cost-efficient operations.
• Ensure BTP environments are secure and requirements comply with governance and security standards.
• Maintain documentation and vendor engagement in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Integrate security awareness into all platform administrative tasks.

Technical Accountability & Safety:

• Demonstrate platform operations accountability for all assigned BTP subaccounts.
• Proactively contribute to a safe working environment by implementing and evaluating safe work practices.
• Identify and report site hazards or incidents to ensure timely corrective action is taken.

Who you will be working with:

• Internal Delivery Teams: Integration Developers, SAP Developers, and SAP BTP Developers.
• Internal Partners: Developers, SAP Security, SAP BASIS, and DevOps.
• External Partners: SAP and Cloud Vendors.

Qualifications and work experience:

Essential:

• Education: Degree in I.T., Cloud Technologies, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of SAP BTP administration experience.
• Specialist Knowledge: Cloud operations, security awareness, and analytical skills.
• Operational Tools: Experience with Jira, Confluence, LeanIX, and Monitoring/Cost Management Tools.
• Technology Proficiency: SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, API Management, Event Mesh, IAM Tools, and CI/CD Toolchains.
